Barn Theatre
Please note: Sterts is going through an exciting period of development. There are ongoing works taking place across our site to improve accessibility and visitor experience ahead of relaunching in March 2025.
Our new 500 seat Barn Theatre offers a unique audience experience with a diverse programme of theatre, dance, live music and comedy. Our main season will open on 5th March (St Piran’s Day) and close on 31st October (Allantide).
The theatre has retained the original amphitheatre bench seating, so we recommend bringing a cushion to sit on. The theatre is wind and rain proof but is not a heated space. Therefore, we encourage you to dress for the weather and embrace the elements. Wrap up warm and bring a blanket – especially in the spring and autumn.
Handrails are installed on the far left and far right sides of the seating.
All our seating is unreserved (except for wheelchair and companion seats).
Please do not bring your own alcohol onto site.
Studio and Community Hub
Our Studio offers a flexible small-scale performance space with 70 - 100 seats. It also offers a comfortable workshop space for creative activities, team meetings and away days.
Our community hub is a multi-purpose space that can be used for meetings, creative activities such as arts and crafts, writing workshops, music, poetry and more. It has refreshment facilities including access to hot water and a microwave. Our new community hub space will open in April 2025.
