Food and Drink
Our on site bar stocks drinks from The Cornish Wine Company, snacks from Redmoor Snacks and Ice Cream from Treleavens Luxury Cornish Ice Cream.
Our bar opens one hour before Barn Theatre shows and 30 minutes before Sturrock Studio shows. Bar times for events may vary, so please check individual event listings for more details.
Sterts does not have an onsite cafe, so we recommend visiting one of our local pubs, restaurants or farm shops for pre-show food.
Our bar is staffed by our wonderful volunteer team throughout the year. Audiences are welcome to bring a picnic to site but please do not bring alcohol to the premises.
Accessibility
We strive to offer a comfortable and accessible experience for all visiting Sterts. If you have a specific access requirement you would like to talk to us about in advance of your visit, please email hello@stertsarts.org or call 01579 362382.
Seating
All our seating is unreserved. If you need to reserve a seat due to an accessibility requirement, e.g. you need to sit near the front to lip read, please contact us directly after booking your ticket and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Ear Loop
We do not currently have an ear loop installed. This is a provision we are committed to and hope to provide in the near future.
Essential Companion & Carer Tickets
We strive to offer essential companion and carer tickets wherever possible. If you require a free essential companion or carer ticket, please contact our team.
Toilets & Changing Place
We have three accessible toilets and a changing place facility on site. The changing place provides a larger accessible space with equipment including a changing table and a hoist to support disabled people who need assistance.
Barn Theatre
Please note: Sterts is going through an exciting period of development. There are ongoing works taking place across our site to improve accessibility and visitor experience until December 2025.
Our 500 seat Barn Theatre offers a unique audience experience with a diverse programme of theatre, dance, live music and comedy. Our main season will open on 5th March (St Piran’s Day) and close on 31st October (Allantide).
The theatre has retained the original amphitheatre bench seating, so we recommend bringing a cushion to sit on. The theatre is wind and rain proof but is not a heated space. Therefore, we encourage you to dress for the weather and embrace the elements. Wrap up warm and bring a blanket – especially in the spring and autumn.
Handrails are installed on the far left and far right sides of the seating.
All our seating is unreserved (except for wheelchair and companion seats, please call 01579 362382 to reserve).
Please do not bring your own alcohol onto site.
Studio
Our Studio offers a flexible small-scale performance space with 70 - 100 seats, suitable for plays, R&Ds, music, poetry and more. It also offers a comfortable workshop space for creative activities, team meetings and away days.
For more information call 01579 362382 or email hello@stertsarts.org.
