Opening Up Space

Opening Up Space promotes accessibility, wellbeing and sustainability across our 4-acre site. Through enhancing our facilities and improving infrastructure, including accessible pathways, EV Charing points, and expanding our toilet facilities, Opening Up Space will create a welcoming space for all, building on the success our previous Shared Prosperity and Community Ownership Funded projects to rebuild the Theatre and upgrade our facilities. 

Our CEO/Creative Director, Sara Rhodes says: 'Opening Up Space allows us to continue much needed work across our four-acre site. This grant enables us to create a welcoming, accessible environment that supports health, wellbeing, and creativity for our local communities, while continuing to build on Sterts commitment to the environment.'

The project will be delivered from August to December 2025. We look forward to sharing future updates on this important work. 

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The funding was allocated through Cornwall Council's Community Levelling Up Programme which is part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme.
